Backstory: Sonji was born and raised in a poor, rural town in Japan, rather far from any big cities or anything of that like. When he was 16, an old woman came through the town seeking young people for a special task, put forth by the lord of that province. Sonji was selected as one of these few. ( See Photo ) Sonji was always good with the ladies, even at that young age, the above picture was done of him, his team, a couple of Sonji's lady friends, and their teacher. Sonji is (of course) the one in the back, hanging with his lady friends. The girl in the front is Miyaki Kurosoki, a young girl, only 14, who was incredibly intelligent for her age. Beside her is Yao Kurosoki, he is the same age as Miyaki, as well as being her cousin. He is extremely agile, being able to sneak in and out of a guarded room without being spotted. The guy with the facepaint is named Roiki Wazoku, he is extremely skilled with both sword and gun, y'know, the brute of the team. Sonji was brought to this group as he is very charming, with wit and coercion he is able to get information out of almost anyone. No one really knows much about our teacher, just that she is part of a secret organization known as NAITO. Anyway, 18 months after Sonji had joined the team, they got a mission to find a man in some tiny town in the middle of nowhere, the man's name ( or at least what he was called by the Teacher) was Soothsayer, and he was to be taken alive at all costs. Well, as is the custom, They went straight for the inn. Everyone waited outside while Sonji went in to do his work. He sat down at the bar and started talking to the innkeeper. As soon he had finally gotten the innkeeper to fumble, and divulge some information, he heard Miyaki yell, then a gun firing, then another, Sonji pulled his pistol off of his belt and ran for the door. As he leaped out, swinging his gun through the air, trying to find a target, he saw a man fire a bullet through Miyazaki's head. He watched as the body went limp and slumped to the floor, blood splattered across the terrain. His eyes were then drawn to the two figures lying on the floor, Yao and Roiki, dead as well. His gun dropped from his hands as he fell to his knees, weeping. The man walked toward Sonji, lifted his gun to Sonji's head, and said, "Go, sleep with your friends." He pulled the trigger, 'CLICK!' The man dropped the gun in front of Sonji. "A gift," he said, "as the gods have willed it."
