Name-Insect Queen
Story- Her name was Doctor Susan Smith, an extensive entomologist at a high standing institution. She was fascinated by the strength and endurance of insects, and longed for their power. She envisioned a world full of hybrids. Imagine workers, with the strength of ants, lifting things three times their size, or men on the moon, who could withstand hundreds of times the pressure of a normal human, on half the oxygen. Imagine how much safer and easier life could be? With these dreams in mind, she began experimenting with molecular genetics, breeding insects the likes of which the world had never seen, attempting to find suitable human/insect genetic compatibility. She went to the board of directors to ask for funding, and they humored her, giving her a temporary lab and a series of aids to help her conduct experiments. She experimented on herself first, twisting her form with various pieces of insect anatomy, but then she began experimenting on her co-workers in secret. The board of directors got wind of it, and cut her funding, calling her experiments inhumane and expelling her from her lab. Enraged, the doctor unleashed her newest weapon, assuming mind control over those she had grafted insect anatomy onto. The enraged hybrids slew random individuals within the institution, before fleeing with their master. Susan Smith retook the name Insect Queen, and now waits in the shadows, attempting to build her dream hive-city of insect hybrid’s, as she comes ever closer to creating the perfect blend of human and insect anatomy. And she will have revenge…
Challenge level- 7-8 1/2 (depending on mod)
Powers-
Breath of Poison: Insect Queen breathes a 25 by 25 cone of paralyzing poison. Those hit by the one cone receive paralysis in the area they are hit. This cone also erases scents and smells in the immediate area.
Gift of the Spider- Insect Queen’s bite is very poisonous, and any physical wounds caused by her heals slowly, and is excruciatingly painful. She can see in the dark, and can sense whenever a being approaches, because of vibrations they make in the ground.
Gift of the Mantis- Insect Queen can move extraordinarily quickly for short periods of time
Distabillizing Powder- Insect Queen releases a drug that causes all targets within 15 feet of her to not perceive her location accurately, (except insects, who are immune to this.) The target sees, hears, and feels things as if they were in a different place than they really are, causing them to become confused and possibly hurt themselves.
Wings-Insect Queen can heave her great bulk into the air into flight, using her powerful wings. She can fly for up to an hour, but at that point, she can only glide, at a steady decrease as dictated by the mod. She can also create powerful gusts of air which blow at opponents with stormy winds, and clear the air.
Tough Shell- Insect Queen has formidable armor covering her body, and is only vulnerable underneath, and around her joints. The rest of her body is generally impervious to most physical damage.
Telepathy- Insect Queen controls her various minions using mind control, and has absolute control over them, although, should they be released from her influence, they go mad. She is immune to illusions, and mind control.
Egg-Laying- Insect Queen may lay an egg on a paralyzed opponent. The egg quickly burns its way into the victim’s body, and begins feeding on them. The egg incubates for 48 hours. The victim may move freely until an hour before the egg hatches, during which they swell, and have difficulty moving or thinking clearly. This culminates with the offspring tearing through the victim’s skin, fully formed, killing them in the process. It is an exact copy of the slain victim, except it is now scarred by an insect-like appearance, and any powers the victim had in life, which are passed onto it, are weaker, although it still posses them. The new hybrid is faster, stronger, and more agile than a human, with keener senses and begins immediately, from the moment it is born, to return to where Insect Queen happens to be, by the shortest known route.
