Lvl 1:
Column of the Word:
The user throws a pile of sheets of paper* inscribed with words of power into the air or opens a book holding such sheets, and they form a rapidly spinning cylinder around the user, blocking incoming strikes. Its height and diameter can be changed at will, but not its total surface.
The amount of sheets used, and thus the thickness and volume of the cylinder, increase with levels.
Lvl 2:
Word of Flames: The user can throw little cards, strips of paper, or anything of the sort, inscribed with a special command. When they hit, or a fixed amount of time after they do, they explode.
Lvl 3:
Deeper Meaning: By reading a text someone wrote or typed, you not only know who it is, up to recognizing it if you've ever met them, but can also find out details about their personality. The longer the text, the more info.
Lvl 4:
Command to freeze: Cards, papers etc. inscribed with the right words thrown at an enemy or object cause them or it to take damage from the intense cold they start to emanate the moment they leave the user's fingers,
Starting from level 2, it also impedes movement.
Lvl 5:
Captivating Story: The user writes a story. Anyone reading it feels a great desire to continue reading to the end, and unless someone else asks them to, don't stop until the end.
Lvl 6:
Word Weave: Instead of using cards, the user can now write in the air and launch written words directly. In addition, they can write on any object with their finger, as if it were a pen, pencil, or any other writing utensil of their choice. Including printers and such.
Lvl 7:
Wall of Words: The user writes many words in the air simultaneously, using every finger to write a word until a wall of text appears in front of him or her, flowing and churning, then launches it towards the enemy.
The enemy is touched, scared, overjoyed, or filled by some other emotion so strongly he or she is stunned for an amount of rounds equal to twice the level of the power.
Starting from level 3, any defenses he or she has also disappear for the duration of the power's effect.
Lvl 8:
Solid Contract: After signing a contract written by you (this can be in blood, if you're into that sort of thing, but it doesn't have to be), a person is bound to follow it. At the attempt to conduct any action that would break the contract, the person's body does simply not move.
Note: The user of this power is never bound to it themselves.
Lvl 9:
Hurricane of the Word: This power looks like a version of a Column of the word that's thicker and spins more quickly, and it works the same, until the user decides to stop using it as a defense. The cylinder expands outward, becoming tornado-like in shape, and the sheets cut through almost anything on their way.
Lvl 10:
Write the World: The user can rewrite reality by writing on things how they should be. For example, writing "this rock is red" on a rock will make that rock red.
It does not work on anything sentient, or semi-sentient. (Means any PC or NPC)
*This can also be parchment. Or big palm leaves. Or anything like it. The same goes wherever else I use the word 'paper'.
