Creating a Site Skin

Creating a Site Skin can be a very difficult task to do well.

A Site Skin is the color scheme that YOU see throughout the Site. background, text Color, Sub Backgrounds, and more.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PROBOARDS USES SOMETHING CALLED A HEX COLOR CODE. IT IS A SERIES OF 6 NUMBERS/LETTERS THAT CREATE A COLOR! YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOK ONLINE TO FIND THEM!

The following is needed to create a Proboards Site Skin.

• Skin Name: Obvious. What you want the Skin to be called. This will be the title people see in the drop down when they change their Site Skin.
  
• Logo URL: The image that appears in the top left of the top part of EVERY PAGE. Large Images may be denied. NO PAGE STRETCHING!
  
• Font: The style of the text. Nothing crazy, like Wingdings or something. MUST BE LEGIBLE! (Standard is Verdana,Arial)
  
• Background Color: The color of the background.
  
• Background Image URL: An optional Image that will be part of the background.
  
• Background Image Fixed: (Yes or No) If it is fixed, it is centered on the Page. if it isnt fixed, it will stalk you as you scroll up and down the page. Can be creepy.
  
• Auto Gradients: NO IDEA. Standard is yes.
  
• Gradient Height: AGAIN, NO IDEA. Standard is 27
  
• Text Color: Obvious. This is what any normal text will look like.
  
• Link Color: Anything word(s) that can be clicked that take you to another location.
  
• Active Link Color: Same as above, but these links are ones that HAVE NOT BEEN CLICKED BY YOU.
  
• Visited Link Color: Same as Link Color, but these links are ones that HAVE BEEN CLICKED BY YOU.
  
• Title Background Color:
  
• Title Text Color:
  
• Category Background Color: The Background color of the Categories. (General, Database, City- Heroes)
  
• Category Text Color: The color of text for the Category Titles. (General, Database, City- Heroes)
  
• News Title Background Color: The background for the News Fader, that thing at the top that hasnt changed in months.

• Window Background 1: All odd posts will be this color background (1,3,5,7,9...)
  
• Window Background 2: All even posts will be this color background (2,4,6,8...)
  
• Board Highlight Color: When you select an area of text, it will be this color.
  
• Thread Highlight Color: Same as above, except for Threads.
  
• Table Border Color: Any tables will have this color around the edges.
  

POP UP's:
