Backstory:
Lyra was born in a peaceful, simple little neighborhood off in the country up north. The winters could be fierce with thick icestorms and heavy blizzards, and the summers were mild, compared with most other places. Rarely do the summers get above 60 degrees. She grew up a tomboy. She liked trucks and playing with action figures, never once setting her sights upon the dolls and little girl toys that he friends would play with. She enjoyed splitting wood with her father. She had two brothers at the time, both rough-housers. She was aggressive and rough around them as well. She enjoyed working, although not so much with work. She had a hard time with school at first. Where was the physical work? But she made herself get good grades just to pass the time. She was growing up to be a teen. She never had an interest in any of the modern day technology, such as phones or Ipods, or anything of that sort. She enjoyed the 'ancient' world. That was how she grew up. She did not transition well over into highschool. She more or less hated it. The kids were irritating, selfish and concerned only with their so called 'amazing boyfriend or girlfriend' whom they broke up with a weak later, so they probably aren't really that great. As she grew to the age of 18, she went off to a police academy. She wanted to become an police officer. It was her dream to fight crime and violence and to protect those who abide by the law.
