Backstory:
Born in Canada to Mariah Gibson and Sergei Ivankroft, Gabriel lived in Canada for only a single year before his father allegedly kidnapped him and fled the country leaving his mother bruttaly torn to shreds in the small 2 story house they had rented.
When Sergei returned to his home country of Russia he took up his spot as a полко́вник (Polkolvnik/Colonel) in the Russian Ground forces, Gabriel was left to be raised by a nanny. From an early age Gabe was above average, learning to walk and talk sooner than almost every other child and growing at a far higher rate than normal. Whenever his father had the time he would teach Gabe all about the army and asign him things that he expected him to be able to do when he next saw him.
Gabriel worked hard to impress his father for his aproval was all he really wanted even though he feigned indifference. Sergei never harmed Gabriel and never punished him or yelled at him in any way. This was mostly because he was attempting to be the perfect father and he only ever expressed dissapointment if Gabe failed to meet his expectations, which was (to Sergeis great amazement and pride) he never did.
One day when Gabe was about 15 Sergei decided it was time to teach the basics of firearm shooting and safety to his son. He started him off with a normal single shot .22 teaching him proper safety and etiquitte as well as how to fire. Gabe quickly picked up on this and was soon learning how to properly shoot, feild strip and take care of more powerful military class weapons.
But no matter how many guns Sergei taught him about Gabes favorite always stayed the same, a Smith & Wesson Model 500 .50 caliber revolver, this unbeknownst to Gabe was the most powerful handgun in the world and was also Sergeis pride. It sat above the fireplace in a locked 4" thick glass container and was almost impossible to steal without the use of heavy artillary for Sergei would not risk losing something so important to him.
This gun was something that both Gabe and Sergei refered to as a masterpiece and when Sergei died two years later in the line of duty he left the gun to Gabe as well as a large amount of money. Gabe however left it where it had been since he could remember and continued the rigerous training he had begun under his father but instead of just training he began going on hunts. These hunts took him all over the world and involved the incapacitation in a one on one match of strength against the worlds most powerful animals.
Gabes conquests began to add to the large fortune that he had been left as people payed him to guide them through africa on safaris as well as body gaurds or assistants in the capture of endangered animals. He also began learning how to fight with a crescent longsword as he beleived it gave an animal more of a chance than hunting with a gun but even then he only used it if he came across a serious challenge.
Eventually Gabe felt that he was worthy of his fathers mantle and at the age of 20 he returned to Russia to retrieve his fathers treasure but was dismayed when he found that the house had been completely destroyed and nothing was left where it had once stood. Returning to africa to continue his hunts he Soon began getting bored with the minimal challenge that he could find and began a new hunt, this time for something more powerful. Lo and behold he found it in the hunt for supers, as he reffered to those with abnormal abilities. He is always on the hunt for a greater challenge and wil fight anyone and anything he comes across that will pose one.
